Telephony.io is a modern telephony infrastructure platform designed for high-growth teams and developers. Our APIs make it simple to integrate voice calling and SMS verification into your applications.

Base URL

All API requests should be made to:

https://telephony.io/api

All requests must be made over HTTPS. Calls made over plain HTTP will fail. API requests without authentication will also fail.

Credit System

Telephony.io operates on a pre-paid credit system. Every API call consumes credits from your account balance based on the service used:

  • Voice Calls: Charged per minute (AU$0.10/min for Australian numbers)
  • SMS Verification: AU$0.05 per message
  • International calls/SMS: Variable rates (see pricing page)

Monitoring Your Balance

You can monitor your current credit balance at any time through your dashboard at /dashboard. We recommend setting up low-balance alerts to avoid service interruptions.

Quick Start

To get started with our API:

  1. Sign up for an account at /login
  2. Retrieve your API key from the dashboard
  3. Make your first request (see Authentication)
  4. Monitor your usage and top up credits as needed
